ABEC 7 ball bearings are generally considered better than ABEC 5 ball bearings. This is because ABEC 7 bearings have a higher level of precision and tighter tolerances, resulting in smoother and more efficient performance. However, the choice between ABEC 5 and ABEC 7 ultimately depends on the specific needs and requirements of the application. **

For a longboard, ABEC 7 ball bearings are typically more than sufficient. ABEC 11 ball bearings are designed for higher speeds and precision, which may not be necessary for the average longboarder. ABEC 7 bearings offer a good balance of speed, durability, and cost-effectiveness for longboarding. **

Yes, Abec 7 bearings are generally considered good for roller skates. They offer a good balance of speed and durability, making them suitable for both casual and more serious skaters. However, the performance of the bearings also depends on factors such as the quality of the materials used and the maintenance of the bearings. It's important to choose bearings that are appropriate for your skill level and skating style. **

The ABEC rating system is used to measure the precision and tolerance of bearings used in machinery and equipment. The higher the ABEC number, the tighter the tolerance and the higher the precision of the bearing. ABEC 3 bearings have looser tolerances and are less precise compared to ABEC 5 and 7 bearings. ABEC 5 bearings are more precise and have tighter tolerances than ABEC 3, while ABEC 7 bearings are even more precise and have even tighter tolerances than ABEC 5. Generally, the higher the ABEC rating, the smoother and more efficient the bearing will be. **

The torque required for Abec 11 bearings on a longboard can vary depending on factors such as the rider's weight, speed, and terrain. Generally, a torque of around 2-3 Nm is sufficient for most longboard setups using Abec 11 bearings. It is important to not over-tighten the bearings as this can cause damage and reduce performance. It is recommended to consult the manufacturer's guidelines for the specific torque requirements for Abec 11 bearings on your longboard. **

The speed of a longboard is not solely determined by the ABEC rating of the bearings. While ABEC 7 bearings are considered good quality and can contribute to smooth rolling, other factors such as the size and hardness of the wheels, the quality of the deck, and the rider's technique and experience also play a significant role in determining the speed of a longboard. If you are experiencing slow speeds, it may be worth checking these other factors and ensuring everything is in good condition and properly maintained. **
